Locum Indemnity Cover

Locums are responsible for arranging and paying their own medical indemnity cover. They must provide evidence that it is sufficient for the length of placement and the type of work to be undertaken. The locum must provide appropriate level of run-off cover following placements. If the locum is providing ROALS locum relief at a public health service, their medical indemnity will be covered by the state-based funding system.
